Bettina Spencer
- SPN Mentor
I focus on issues of stereotyping and prejudice with a particular emphasis on the intersection of social class and gender. My recent research projects include assessing the effects of stereotype threat on low-income college students, and examining the mediating role of stereotyping and the moderating role of classism on perceptions of low vs. high-income rape victims. Another line of my research focuses on theories of reconciliation after large-scale violence.
